Consulting
The HR professionals of the IBA will make on site visits to banks to perform HR audits, strategic planning and provide educational training in areas such as sexual harassment, confidentiality and other areas of relevance to banks. The HR department is also available to answer phone calls and address HR related issues such as job descriptions and salary administration and help with employee situations that may arise in the bank. The consulting services are available at a reduced member rate and the phone assistance is an added member benefit.
Policies, Procedures, & Handbook
The IBA offers a sample handbook for sale to member banks. The handbook contains all of the pertinent language necessary for most banks in the state of Iowa. Individual sample policies are available on request or policies can be sent to the HR department for review and comment.
Salary Survey
Annually the IBA conducts a salary survey which is then made available to members who participate at a reduced price. The survey is available to all banks as well as anyone else who would like to purchase the information.
Testing
There are several options available to banks who would like to test their employees on either a pre-employment or post employment basis. The testing options are either Candidate Resources or Profiles International. The IBA has negotiated discounted rates for member banks who utilize the services through the website.

Human Resources Forms
The IBA Human Resources Department has developed forms for human resources management in such areas as employment applications, applicant tracking and performance review forms for both staff and supervisors. All materials are reviewed by IBA legal counsel for compliance with current HR laws and regulations. Please contact the IBA’s forms department for a sample.
