SAS No. 70 Risk-Based Approach Web Seminar
August 2 • 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
All banks must address the business and compliance risks associated with vendor performance and reliability. This seminar will provide you with the tools and techniques to effectively assess the SAS No. 70 Reports you receive.
Regulatory agencies, internal auditors and public accounting firms expect an improved level of understanding and oversight of your key vendors. The vendors who have access to or impact your customer and/or financial information are as important today as vendors that directly assist you in the delivery of service to your customers.
All banks must address the business and regulatory compliance risks associated with vendor performance and reliability. The traditional AICPA Statement On Auditing Standards No. 70 (e.g., the “SAS No. 70”) has been increasing in vogue as an established vehicle for service organizations to communicate the design and effectiveness of selected internal controls to their customers.
HMDA: FAQ Web Seminar
August 6 • 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
We have “mined” previous programs to develop a list of frequently asked questions covering all aspects of HMDA. Whether you are new to the requirements or a seasoned veteran, this program provides the information you need to assure compliance.
When we conduct a webinar on any aspect of HMDA we are always inundated with questions. We have had as many as 30 pages of questions and answers following such programs. And we have conducted quite a few HMDA programs over the years. We have “mined” those previous programs to develop a list of frequently asked questions. The questions cover all aspects of the regulations - coverage, completing the LAR, reporting, and HMDA analysis. And we have scheduled plenty of time for your new questions during the program.
Avoiding EFT and Check Losses
Transaction accounts that were once only accessible by checks are now reached by checks, substitute checks, remotely created checks, and a variety of ACH transactions that originate from checks. This seminar focuses on the steps necessary to resolve consumer customer complaints and comply with federal consumer protection laws. It focuses on the “pulse points” of several laws and regulations and extracts the information that contact personnel need to know. Ask your customer service representatives – we guarantee they would love to attend a single training session that addresses all these issues so they would not have to deal with them on a piecemeal basis.
