James A. Leach Leadership Award

The winner of the 2007 James A. Leach Leadership Award will be announced during the annual IBA Convention September 16-18. The actual announcement will be on Monday, September 17 during the general session. Look for an in-depth announcement in the September 28 edition of Exchange. 

Mid-Winter Management Conference

Sign up now to attend the 2008 Mid-Winter Management Conference in Snowmass Village, Colorado; January 20-22. The event will feature Chris Davenport of Aspen, Colorado who is considered one of the world’s most accomplished big mountain skiers, as a keynote speaker as well as many other dynamic speakers throughout the conference. Save the Date

Plan now to attend the 2007 ABA National Agricultural Banker Conference October 28-31 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The theme of the conference is “Ag Banking in a Changing World” and will feature three and a half days of important information on how banks can shape their business strategies to succeed in a changing world full of new opportunities and challenges.  The IBA will again be hosting the Iowa Breakfast on October 29. A representative from Miller Brewing Company has been invited to talk about the fascinating history of the company. Today, Miller’s brewery in Milwaukee is the site of America’s oldest major brewery.
