Past Presidents and Chairmen Honored

On Saturday, September 15, the Iowa Bankers Association Past President and Chairmen gathered for a reception and dinner to welcome their latest inductee, Dan Krieger, Ames National Corporation, Ames.  The dinner, which was held at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, has become an annual tradition for past leaders of the Association.  Each new inductee receives the traditional “green jacket” denoting their year of service to the Iowa banking community.  Past Chairman Nancy Dunkel presided over the ceremony.

Attend the 2007 ABA Ag Bankers Conference

Plan now to attend the 2007 ABA National Agricultural Banker Conference October 28-31 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The theme of the conference is "Ag Banking in a Changing World" and will feature three and a half days of important information on how banks can shape their business strategies to succeed in a changing world full of new opportunities and challenges.  The IBA will again be hosting the Iowa Breakfast on October 29. A representative from Miller Brewing Company has been invited to talk about the fascinating history of the company. Today, Miller's brewery in Milwaukee is the site of America's oldest major brewery.
