2024 IBA Leaders in Advocacy

Event Description

The Leaders in Advocacy program was established to build an advocacy base of leaders who are educated on banking industry issues and understand how to effectively communicate with legislators and regulators. The program will run from January – October each year. Aside from participation in monthly meetings and visits to the Capitol, leaders will work to establish a bank advocacy plan to use at their local bank.

To qualify, applicants must be one of the following: nominated by bank as an emerging leader, selected by the IBA government relations team as a potential key advocate for the industry, a graduate of the IBA Leadership Institute and/or motivated and driven to advocate for the industry.

Instructions

Registration fee is $500. The fee covers registration for all meetings and two nights of Capitol Hill Visit (Washington, D.C.) lodging. Participants will be responsible for flight costs to and from Washington, D.C. and for in-state meeting lodging and transportation. Please complete an application. Once approved you will be registered and invoiced for the program.
