Rich Finds Calling in Treasury Management
There are many roles within the banking industry, and Cristen Rich worked hard to learn about the industry so she could find the area that fits her best. She says doing just that is the best advice she could give to someone considering a career in banking. “Absorb all the knowledge around you. Even the small things are valuable and will serve a purpose in your future,” she said.
As a vice president and treasury management sales officer at West Bank, she enjoys helping customers find solutions that work best for them. “I am passionate about treasury management because the products have purpose,” she said. “I’m helping provide safety features and efficiencies to my customers.”

There is no aspect of someone’s personal or business life that banking doesn’t touch. Find your passion and there will be a path to live it through banking.

The IBA is a great advocate for the banking industry. The organization is a great way to learn and grow within the industry. It is a great organization to help foster and collaborate with industry associates.
When you’re not at work, what do you like to do most?
Spend time with my dogs and husband or curl up with a good book.

If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.
