Lilic Builds Relationships In and Out of the Office
Zerina Lilic is the assistant branch manager at the Bankers Trust branch in Grimes. The best career advice she has ever received is, “Do what you love, and success will follow.” She is passionate about serving her community and building strong relationships with both customers and coworkers. If she could become a master in one area, it would be business lending. Outside of work, Lilic enjoys spending time with her family. She says her nephews keep her on her toes, but the love they share leaves her feeling recharged.
What’s something ABOUT YOUR ROLE PEOPLE MIGHT NOT EXPECT?
Conflict resolution, hands-on vault balancing and audits, and being proactive in community. All on top of building relationships that last, not only with customers, but people I work with and spend most of my time with.
What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received?
Do what you love and success will follow. Passion is the fuel behind a successful career.
If you could instantly become an expert in one thing, what would it be?
I would like to be an expert in business loans.
what’s an interesting or lesser-known fact about you?
I just bought a townhome, so I’m a new homeowner!
What do you do outside of work to recharge?
I love to spend time with my family – my nephews are the best even though they wear me out, they pour so much pure love that recharges me.
