Iowa Bankers Association members are encouraged to make a difference in the future of the banking industry by volunteering on an IBA board, committee or council. Whether your interest is in legislative affairs, lending, management, marketing or compliance, there is a place for you. There is no better way to grow your career, your bank or your industry than to serve on one of these IBA groups.
Our goal is to have representation on each board, committee and council from every region of the state. If selected as a volunteer, you will be asked to attend meetings 3–4 times during the year. Committee terms generally are for three years, and run from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31.
Before you volunteer, please make sure to discuss the opportunity with your bank CEO to ensure that you have your bank’s support and can attend meetings throughout the year.
