When looking back on your banking career, what achievement are you most proud of and why?

I am just happy to have the opportunity to work for such a great bank and be able to be involved with IBA.

What piece of advice would you give to your past self or to anyone considering a career in banking?

The advantage of all opportunities to get involved within your community and within IBA.

What is your best elevator pitch for why banking is a great career?

Being involved in Community banking allows you to see how much your institution gives back to your community. Banking also provides the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives helping businesses grow and individuals achieve their financial goals.

How does getting involved with the Iowa Bankers Association help you and your bank?

I have enjoyed getting to know others involved in IBA and have an entirely different group of peers to reach out to with questions or best practices.

When you’re not at work, what do you like to do most?

Spend time with my family and friends.

What is a quote or guiding principle you live by?

Always do the right thing, even if the right thing is the hard thing.
