In Part 1, you’ll focus on preparing and exploring data—removing duplicates, cleaning and transforming text, separating and combining fields, filtering lists and tables, and using Recommended PivotTables and Analyze Data to quickly uncover trends.
- Removing duplicates and cleaning inconsistent data using TRIM, CLEAN, UPPER, LOWER, and PROPER
- Splitting and combining text efficiently with Text to Columns and Flash Fill
- Filtering large datasets and using SUBTOTAL to summarize visible results
- Converting ranges to Tables, managing formatting, and filtering with Slicers
- Creating quick insights with Recommended PivotTables and PivotCharts

- Creating dynamic date series, month-end calculations, and self-updating charts and titles
- Using dynamic array formulas (UNIQUE, spill ranges, structured references) to power interactive reports
- Building visual summaries with PivotTables, Timelines, Sparklines, and Quick Analysis
- Importing and managing data from CSV files and external sources
- Consolidating and refreshing multi-sheet data with Power Query
- Enhancing workbook usability with grouping, Custom Views, and performance settings
