IBA Member Spotlight: Cody Davis

Davis Finds the Uniqueness in Banking

Profile Picture Mod 1Cody Davis, lead portfolio manager at American National Bank, takes pride in finding unique and creative structures for borrowers while still mitigating risk. “I’m proud of these moments because these unique deal structures provide a rewarding challenge to overcome on an individual level, but they also highlight the value the bank provides to the borrower to meet their financing needs that are aligned to their business,” he said.

Davis enjoys helping others achieve their financial aspirations and appreciates the different natures of different departments. He’s found that commercial banking allows the banker to learn and connect with a diverse range of businesses and industries. On the other hand, retail banking provides an opportunity for a banker to work directly with people in their local community. “Regardless of the department, a career in banking is rewarding and enables you to assist both businesses and individuals in reaching their financial objectives,” he added.
